What a delight it was to read Gods of Jade and Shadow. A fun mix of Mexico in the 1920s, Mayan mythology and good old fairytale. Last year I thoroughly enjoyed Moreno-Garcia’s book Mexican Gothic, and was happy when I got my hands on yet another great book from her.

Who else is planning their books to read this summer? The TBR list is super long and even though I’ve already read so many books this year, the list isn’t getting any shorter. 😀
Here are two books I read recently, and I was so excited about these! One really impressed be, while the other was unfortunately a slight disappointment. Two very different books and both of them seem to have been popular, or at least they pop up regularly in my reading challenge groups.
I was quite surprised when I enjoyed The Midnight Library so much more than The Lost Apothecary.
